Flood Relief Appliance Replacement Program

In response to the recent 2026 storms, Hawaii Energy is offering appliance replacement packages for residents that have been impacted.

Available Appliances:

  • Refrigerator w/ Freezer
  • Freezer (Standalone)
  • Clothes Washer
  • Clothes Dryer

STEP 1: Review the various models and sizes available from our distributor, PHAD Home Appliance.

STEP 2: Review, complete and submit the official application online.

STEP 3: Payment will be collected by PHAD Home Appliance. Please ensure you are ready to make payment to PHAD at the time of completing the order application. PHAD will contact you to receive payment.

Each appliance will cost between $250-$450 depending on size, with no minimum quantity and a max of one (1) of each appliance type per household.

  • You are eligible if: You are a Hawaiian Electric bill-paying residential customer in one of these zip codes.  (Those that are off-grid/do not pay an electric bill are not eligible.)
    • Oahu:  96706, 96707, 96712, 96717, 96730, 96731, 96734, 96744, 96762, 96786, 96789, 96791, 96792, 96795, 96797, 96813, 96814, 96815, 96816, 96821, 96822, 96825, 96826, 96857, 96863
    • Maui: 96713, 96753, 96761, 96790, 96793
    • Molokai: 96729, 96742, 96748, 96757, 96770
    • Hawaii Island: 96704, 96710, 96719, 96720, 96728, 96737, 96740, 96749, 96750, 96760, 96764, 96771, 96772, 96773, 96774, 96776, 96777, 96778, 96780, 96781, 96783, 96785
  • You need replacement appliances as a result of the recent Kona Low storms in March and April 2026.

Delivery and Payment

Oahu Residents

You may choose to have your appliance delivered to your home or picked up via will call at PHAD Home Appliance. On Oahu, PHAD will offer on-site installation. If home is not site-ready for installation, appliances will be placed in the home and applicants will have to find a local resource to install their equipment.

Non-Oahu Residents

Hawaii Energy will be coordinating a central location on each island where appliances can be picked up. This location and date will be determined as orders come in. Mahalo for your patience as we work to coordinate shipping and drop-off to your islands. Please allow up to 45 days, depending on the delivery schedule. May take longer for Maui and Hawaii Counties. 

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance may be available through the following organizations for households that are not able to afford the $250 co-pay. To learn more about available assistance, please contact each organization directly.
