Honolulu, Hawai‘i – Hawaiʻi Energy, the state’s energy conservation program, has launched a giveaway that will award one lucky winner with a free tune-up service for their split or central residential air conditioning (AC) system. From now until Feb. 29, 2024, Hawaiʻi residents can enter to win by visiting HawaiiEnergy.com/Promotions.
“In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Hawaiʻi Energy encourages residents to also show some love to their home by ensuring proper maintenance of their split or central AC systems, which is recommended once a year,” Caroline Carl, executive director at Hawaiʻi Energy. “Regular maintenance of standard AC systems can help them operate more efficiently, extend their lifespan, and ultimately lead to lower energy bills and reduced environmental impact. “
To enter to win, Hawaiʻi residents must fill out an online entry form and answer two survey questions. One winner will receive a tune-up service for their split or central residential AC system performed by Clean Energy Ally Steve’s Plumbing & AC, courtesy of Hawai‘i Energy and valued at up to $250. The winner will be selected by random drawing on March 1, 2024 and notified by phone or email. Some restrictions apply, see official rules for details. The tune-up service must be completed by June 30, 2024.
Hawaiʻi Energy offers residential rebates to make it easier for residents to invest in energy-efficient equipment and installations, including solar water heating, air conditioning systems, appliances and more. The current rebates range from $75 – $1,500 and are available until June 30, 2024.
Hawaiʻi Energy rebates are available to residential electric utility ratepayers on Hawaiʻi Island, Lāna‘i, Maui, Moloka‘i and O‘ahu only. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability of funds. Kaua‘i residents are serviced by a utility cooperative and therefore not eligible for Hawai‘i Energy rebates.
